Danger Patrol 1944 Moleskin Notes

Basically all my major notes for a Danger Patrol 1944 hack I ran at GPNW2013. Somewhere I have the character sheets I used, which were really just WW2 retrofits of the original John Harper game.

The setup: A secret mission for a rag tag crew of supers (and a couple red-shirts) they need to extricate a certain Dr V. Frankenstein.  His family castle has been taken over by the Nazis and is now a defensive stronghold. Get the Dr. out before the Allies airstrike.

Flavor: Castle Wolfenstein meets The Invaders.

SPOILERS: The Dr's Monster, and the 2nd Monster, and the Dr's Nazi Daughter (whom he won't leave behind.)

I think there is something really cool about the black and white pantomime.
I present it here for your enjoyment...

Nautilopus Oil Painting

A small (5" x 7") oil painting of the Nautilopus heading toward "danger-reef!" A sneak peak of Danger patrol #2. This will be one of the underwater panels.

An alternate coloring

I just came across an alternate version for this piece. I like the other one more.

10 man pt skyboat *in color*

Boy Howdy! What a complicated form in perspective! I don't know if I could ever get it completely right, when I drew it I tried to keep a kind of fluid, rollicking line spontaneity, but when I threw color on it, that line quality got lost for the bigger shapes that asserted themselves in color. This seems to happen quite a lot in my work, the black and white is so forgiving, but the color - even if it is good - betrays what the fundamental structure lacks....
