New Project

Page 11 of a new "secret" project. I hope I live to see it's completion.

I'm doing all of the layouts first in this massive 400 page book.

It's only a little intimidating, right now I'm just enjoying the challenge to do a little everyday (as per usual M.O.).

Lots of thoughts about this, but at this point it's all I'm will to "leak" out.

I will say that I do hope lots of people will be able to enjoy some of the fruits of the labor within the year! But don't hold your collective breath!

Mon-el sketches

If I was responsible for rebooting this less than iconic dc superhero it might look something like this...don't ask me why. More inking practice...there can never be enough inking practice...

Recent Proposal for 50th Anniversary Unity Art Project

This winter I wrote up this proposal for a painting/instillation idea.
It would have been a hell of a lot of work if it had been accepted, in fact it's safe to say I would be working on it right now, at this very minute that I'm typing this, if it had been accepted.
The proposal that was adopted is outlined, in the inverse, under the first bullet.

Letter from the Resistance...

Just read Steven Pressfield's book " The War of Art" I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make stuff and get stuff done, especially creative work. I think the term "productivity-porn" is pretty apt in the case of the photograph above. I Found myself without the necessary means to do some of the drawings that are coming in. I'm a sucker for art supplies and office supplies. It always makes me feel more productive in those few seconds of shell-gaming a couple dollars up at the counter. Anyway, Picked up this little kit for working away from home, of course in the time it's taken me to play on the computer and come up with this post I could have actually made a quick rough draft drawing. So it goes...recovering from a cold and GI grumbles, yours truly, Nate.

KRAMPUS: Factory Burnt Down

The Band I was in at the turn of the century. One of our greatest hits. One of my favorites. Nuff Said. Special thanks to Tom for putting it up on Soundcloud.

Easter Egg Eggstravaganzzaa

Had a mess of fun this year painting up the eggs for Easter. What a great lasting pagan tradition, really the whole hunt ritual and egg coloring and rabbits and bright colored candy can quickly become pretty surreal. I plan on hiding more images like the Easter egg above around town next year. I'm also looking forward to building off what we learned this year, about egg coloring and fancy kits, next year. A lot of fun. I present these pictures for your enjoyment and my review before next years polychroming, Cheers!

Another kickstart for Khepera publishing!
