Underdrawings: handlers 04

I enjoyed doing these underdrawings so much I've decided to document them. Consider it a special sneak peek of Handlers#04. Even if you can't tell what's happening ( and everything is out of page order) I hope you agree they are pretty anyway. I'm now waiting for the pages to dry and meditating on my next step!

Trying a new style with handlers 04. This is a raw image of the cover but the whole book will look something like this.

10 minute portraits

Did portraits for a children's fair. It was really challenging and a good test of my skills to see what I kind of likenesses i could do in a ten minute time frame. These were some of the results.

Chicken Rug

Chicken-Rug

Nuff-Said.

A commission that finally got finished up. Mostly a collaboration between my wife and I.

Acrylic on canvas. The checkerboard was all done by hand. I would like to decorate more things in his way. Not as easy as I thought it would be.

New process.

Trying out a new process for Handlers #4 . water soluble under layers. We will see where it goes from there.

Painting from 1998 (?)

A piece done on canvas board. An oil painting that has moved with me many times. Has found a new home. I hope I remembered to sign it!

To a new home...

This painting has found it's way to a new home. I really like this one. I hope it makes friends there.

Hairy Pyramid

I can only take credit for the drawing. The idea was from a student of mine. I liked it so much I had to steal it. I told him I was going to make it into a t-shirt. I still haven't gotten that far yet.

Big Pain Art Show 1997

A flyer that I did not make, but was for a show I was part of in 1997 or 98. I present it here for your amusement.
