Recent this and thats

More stuff for the "Hellas" Roleplaying system Via Kephera Publishing. I hate the little photoshop lines below the pics, I don't usually notice them till they are at this stage. Hopefully they will catch them before, and if, they are published!
These are all done with pen and ink and then given a digital post-effect treatment. I present them here for your enjoyment.

character Design stuff

I've got to illustrate some battle scenes and it's nice to plan out the opposition to make it easier.

Robot-Boy

Another for the Hellas module I'm working on right now. I'm building up steam for the big action pics I need to get started soon. Just received my official copy of  Hellas Princes of the Universe and it looks REALLY good, lots of detail, art (not just mine but some fabulous art from others too) and nice layout, it is an honor to be included in such an endeavor.

I like the bit with the cat.

This is another character illustration for Kephera Publishing with a very Studio Ghibli inspired cat.

New Work for Hellas and Kephera.

I always forget how different monitors are. When I look at this on the monitor it was created on the blues are quite a bit richer and the whole picture is quite a bit darker and creepier. I wish I could find a standard for viewing.

Watercolor Fun

Happy Halloween! I have been busy teaching myself watercolor. This is mostly done through trial and error with complementing parts of studying work. A lot of experimenting is needed. I quickly realized that the type of paper you use has as much to do with the ease and frustration factor as anything. That's about as far as I've gotten. I'm still using a little crayola set and a little prang set of tin watercolors, but of course using the nicest brushes that I can afford to buy. I'm also doing more experimenting with water soluble media, pens, ink etc. Soon I plan on graduating to some better quality watercolors. I present these few results of my efforts here for your enjoyment.

New Feeds

Rather than just putting up new post "updates" every time I get one finished for my other sites, I've decided to include "feed" menus on the sidebar. It's just to streamline the info-flow.
So check it out! Click on the sidebar feeds for 2 new latest additions to The Handlers and WXF!

Cemetery

9" x 6.5" I've been doing some strange little mixed media table top drawings lately, most of them (even the one above to a small degree) are inspired by sketchbook scribbled impressions of Mexico City.

The Handlers Web Comic Begins!

I woke up at 4am this morning and started to work on the Handlers Web-Comic. I plan on publishing sporadically, just as I do with WXF. I really have no reason not to, and all the reason to believe that perhaps all the hard work will reach at least two or three more people. I plan to publish the pages on paper once enough pages are collated to form a book!
I have almost all of the pages for an "issue #1" inked and colored and now I'm just in the process of plugging in words. I have the feeling I will add some new material as time goes by lest the old stuff gets boring and stale, that said, these pages could come out faster than WXF, which is now on it's 13th strip and I'm plugging away at #14, the 2nd "Sunday" page!
I am excited about finally showcasing some of this new Handlers color work, and I plan on letting it get really wild. I also am starting the whole Saga from the very beginning, and taking plenty of artistic license and embellishments to make it as apocryphal from the original adventures as possible. If it makes it to a couple thousand pages I hope it will link up smoothly with the older "episode" books that are now in print.

Yet another project from the host of my scattered forces dear reader, but one I hope you will enjoy.
Reach it here: The Astonishing Adventures of The Handlers Awaits!

Boring the Barbarian! - color practice

Your typical generic Tarzanish, Thundarrish type Barbarian-Guy. A fun little color practice, wish it had more substance.
